Grassroots Support Impacting the Women and Children of the Congo

Our mission is to powerfully impact women and children affected by war & rape in the Eastern DRC.  We provide funding for projects for war orphans & women affected by sexual violence, that help to strengthen local communities and equip individuals to thrive.

The children

Children affected by war are sometimes orphaned and oftentimes displaced, so they are unable to attend school. For parents who survive, they often lose their land or their incomes because of the war, so paying for their children’s school fees is no longer an option.

The women

Rape and sexual violence as a weapon of war, are used pervasively in the conflict in Eastern Congo.

We provide grants to grassroots organisations, that provide healthcare and socio-economic programs for Women who are victims of sexual violence. These grants help to reintegrate them back into their communities and society.

Changing one woman’s life and a whole community, by building resilience and providing hope. We work with women to realize their dignity and be able to live life that way.

We are a grassroots organisation who value transparency and accountability.

We believe in resilience, kindness and enduring hope.

Our Thanks

Community is at the heart of the success of TG Foundation and our Partner Projects. We could not have built these valued communities without our fundraising and advocacy events. In 2008, we were shocked to find out about the weaponisation of rape and sexual violence in the war in Congo. Tatiana Giraud, Founder of TG Foundation, began speaking to her friends, family and colleagues. To her dismay, she quickly realised that none of them knew about the war in the Congo. Compelled to do something to raise awareness, Tatiana decided to host a documentary screening of “The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo” and invite her friends. This event eventually led Tatiana, the team of Trustees and our Patron, to register the Charity in 2010.

TG Foundation’s events have been instrumental in both raising awareness about rape as a weapon of war in Congo and in helping the charity fundraise in order to support the programs in Congo. We are extremely thankful to all our donors and supporters who contribute to the work that we are doing in conflict zones in Congo, to provide life-changing programs for women and children

With Thanks
